Clintons

Bill and Hillary Clinton primarily live in Chappaqua, New York, a suburb in Westchester County about 30-35 miles north of New York City.

They purchased their main home there in 1999 for $1.7 million (at 15 Old House Lane), a Dutch Colonial-style house on roughly 1.1 acres. In 2016, they expanded the property by buying the adjacent ranch-style house next door (at 33 Old House Lane) for $1.16 million, effectively controlling the entire cul-de-sac for added privacy and space, including for family visits or security.

This Chappaqua residence has been their primary home since leaving the White House, where they returned after Hillary’s 2016 presidential campaign. It’s described as a family-oriented retreat, with ongoing improvements noted over the years.

They also own a secondary home in Washington, D.C., known as Whitehaven ( located at 3067 Whitehaven Street NW in the Massachusetts Avenue Heights neighborhood, near Embassy Row ). Purchased in 2000 for $2.85 million, it’s a neo-Georgian mansion Hillary used during her time as a U.S. Senator and Secretary of State. It’s often described as a part-time or getaway residence rather than their main one, with rare interior glimpses shared in outlets like Architectural Digest highlighting its personal touches and gardens.

No major changes to these residences appear in recent sources as of 2026—they remain the key properties associated with the couple. They have historical ties to other places ( like homes in Arkansas from earlier in their careers ), but those are not current living arrangements. For privacy and security reasons (especially with former presidential protection), exact daily whereabouts aren’t publicly detailed, but Chappaqua is consistently reported as their base.
